I emailed a company the other day asking for some specs on their product. I also mentioned the my project might, or might not have need of some of their other products. They responded promptly with the answer to my question, however, they certainly missed on opportunity with me, had they simply asked about the “specific constraints” i mentioned in my email they would have opened an dialog that may have lead to a (much) bigger sale.
I gave them permission to start a conversation and they did not take advantage of it.
